Looking for a unique wedding venue in downtown Phoenix, Arizona? The Abbey on Monroe recently opened and is absolutely stunning. It is a former church that was rundown in Phoenix for quite awhile. Recently, new owners acquired the building and took on renovations to turn the Abbey into a restored historic wedding and event venue. Let me show you!

Exposed Brick & Archways Tell a Story

The Abbey on Monroe is full of architecture that we don’t see around much anymore. While modern styles are still gorgeous in their own right, the Abbey carries such a unique tone that is unlike any other in the Phoenix valley. It has antique, stone archways throughout the building from the entrance doors to the lobby, to window frames. Despite renovations ensuring the safety and security of the building, the owners have preserved so much character through the original architecture, exposed brick, and an ‘unfinished’ look in some areas that adds flare.

Open Space to Create Your Dream Wedding

On top of its uniqueness, the Abbey on Monroe has multiple large spaces with which you can get creative. There is the open air space that is home to the iconic balcony views, but also to stunning landscaping and brick tones. On the upper floors, there are two different ballroom areas with plenty of natural light where you can get creative! Really, the Abbey on Monroe is a blank canvas with which you can create the wedding of your dreams.
